At their recent board meeting the current Directors were pleased to welcome a new Trustee, Dennis Trueland, to the board of Trefoil.

A former social worker, who has worked in both Scotland and England, Dennis has a wide range of experience working with children in difficult circumstances. He spent five years as the Principal Officer for Save the Children Scotland, during which time he oversaw a number of initiatives providing great benefit for those in need. Additionally, Dennis is a former CEO of the Barony Housing Association, serving for 17 years in this role before his retirement. In this role Dennis led Barony through a huge transition in their operations due to changes in government funding, navigating numerous challenges to provide the best assistance to service users. Following his retirement Dennis has given up much of his time to charities, notably serving on the board of the Dunedin Canmore Housing Association.

The Board of Trustees are incredibly pleased to welcome Dennis to their number. His experience with charities and in particular organisations benefiting children will be a huge asset to Trefoil as we move forward and grow.
